Why I Created My Dear Barcelona
Welcome everyone, my name is Gaets. I'm from Belgium and I've been living here in Barcelona since 2017.
As Adam fell in love with Eve, I fell in love with Barcelona.
The longer I live in this city, the more I want people to discover the other side of Barcelona that I've come to enjoy on a daily basis. It's not only about the tourist attractions that everyone knows. It's about the lifestyle, the people, the energy and the dynamic that makes this city unique.
From the beginning, I felt like I was living on holidays. Over time, Barcelona became very dear to my heart. That's why I've decided to call this project My Dear Barcelona.
There is so much to discover here that I could probably make a lifetime of content and still have things left to explore. Every day I'm learning something new. Every day I'm meeting new people, discovering new cultures and encountering different ways of thinking.
It's a lovely place under the sun, and I'll do my best to show you what I think is really worth sharing.
And visually, it's going to be a dream. A lot of light, a lot of sun, and a lot of vitamin D because you need it. You know you need it.
For this introduction, we're making the most of a beautiful August day and heading out on inline skates from Plaça Catalunya, through La Rambla and Port Vell, all the way to La Marina and the iconic W Barcelona.
Of course, you're probably here to see the beautiful side of Barcelona, so enough talking. I'll let you enjoy the view for a moment.
